| The Stormwater Committee of the Magothy River Association has a goal to develop a volunteer database which can be matched with volunteer opportunities in the stormwater management arena. If you are interested in stream clean up programs, stormwater/stream restorations, living shoreline improvements, rain garden plantings, related community education, or even related planning and administration efforts, then you should be in our database. The database will capture both individual and group information. You may choose to register as an individual who would be notified when suitable opportunities arise or you might also register your scout troop or your garden club. Registration puts you at no obligation it simply allows us to keep you informed about projects that might interest you, your friends or neighbors. It is our hope that this link to a new database of committed volunteers, will serve to connect people and improve the Magothy River. You should not expect that your registration will lead to some immediate opportunity to volunteer. It might, in fact, be weeks or months before you receive notice of opportunities of interest to you. However, when the time does come, we will be able to contact you and provide you with the chance to make a real contribution. Don't hesitate. Please sign up now!!! |
